The history of Trinidad is extremely unique, featuring a diverse cross section of people with varying ethnic backgrounds. One of the interesting areas of Trinidad is Moruga. Here is where the Merikins, African-American Marines of the War of 1812 – former African slaves who fought for the British against the US, established a significant community in southern Trinidad. There will be a visit to the Moruga Museum, the Cocoa Museum, St. Peter’s statue, and the Columbus statue at the site where he is said to have landed in 1498.

This tour starts in Princes Town and ends in Port of Spain and includes entrance fees to sites, ground transportation, tour guide, evening snack plate, and light liquid refreshments.
