The Southland is the industrial capital of Trinidad. This intriguing tour takes us deep south to the La Brea Pitch Lake, the only drive-in pitch lake in the world. From there return northwards to the second capital of Trinidad, San Fernando for a short tour before heading up to the San Fernando Hill Recreational Park for a local packed lunch. Once famished the tour takes us through the Petrotrin Refinery to the Wildfowl Trust, a nature reserve uniquely found within a petrochemical industrial compound, an amazing blend of nature and industry residing together harmoniously.
